Bring a friend and bring orange--sturdy and strong materials, not just candy wrappers. Metal. Wood. Hard plastic. Things that will last. I like the monochromes to be durable and high quality, something you could throw out the window and it would stay together; the scratches and dents would add to it, and the pieces that don't survive the fall don't get reapplied.

The Monochromes Project is a collaborative art project. Each monochrome has a designated color and is worked on by several artists using only found and second-hand materials. For each work people are asked to collect pigment which they bring to a coloring party. When artists work on the piece, they log their hours and then get paid a portion of whatever the piece sells for. The idea is to foster a livelihood for artists.
